Senior Account Executive – GovTech & AI SaaS

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales of an established political intelligence platform and an upcoming AI‑powered product. Based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing across mid‑market and enterprise accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Generate outbound pipeline and target 20‑25 new customers in the first year.
• Sell the existing SaaS platform and transition accounts to the new AI‑driven solution.
• Manage discovery calls, multi‑threaded stakeholder engagement and complex procurement processes.
• Close deals ranging from $20K to $100K ARR and maintain accurate forecasting.
• Develop outbound playbooks, sales cadences and support junior sales reps in Australia and the UK.
• Contribute to product positioning and identify future opportunities in regulatory and media intelligence.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience closing mid‑market SaaS deals.
• Proven ability to create opportunities without relying solely on inbound leads.
• Comfortable navigating multi‑decision‑maker sales cycles in government relations, public affairs or corporate affairs.
• Strong commercial judgement, professional energy and a structured approach to sales.
