Security Director

About the role

The Security Director will enable sales of Ericsson’s full product and service portfolio by providing customers with proof points that demonstrate our comprehensive security posture and help them achieve their security goals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted security advisor to customers and internal partners, delivering proactive security advice across risk assessment, governance, data management, privacy and product security.
• Serve as the primary contact between customers and Ericsson for Security, Privacy and Business Continuity Management, ensuring contractual security commitments are identified, addressed and verified.
• Support pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, advising on solutions that meet customer expectations and driving project delivery and gap closure.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the telecom or IoT sector.
• Strong relationship‑management and communication skills, able to convey security and compliance expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, security or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001 controls, risk assessment, governance, data management, product privacy and vulnerability assessment.
• Experience with telecom‑specific security aspects such as Open RAN, Service‑Based Architecture, network slicing, distributed cloud, managed services and XaaS solutions.
