Secondary Music Teacher (Years 7-12)

About the role

St Teresa's Catholic College is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher to deliver engaging Music lessons for Years 7‑12, with the possibility of teaching an additional subject and taking on the Instrumental Music Coordinator middle‑leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, learner‑centred environment aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Catholic values.
• Collaboratively develop, implement and evaluate curriculum programs, assess student progress and report outcomes.
• Work with the leadership team and staff to foster a positive school culture and engage in professional learning.
• Provide pastoral care, supporting students’ spiritual and moral development.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Commitment to Catholic education values (no requirement to be Catholic).

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver effective curriculum programs in line with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Strong classroom management and learner‑focused teaching practices.
