Secondary HASS Teacher

About the role

Aranmore Catholic College is seeking a full-time, ongoing Secondary HASS Teacher to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning programs across the Humanities and Social Sciences. The role starts in Term 1, 2027, and aims to inspire curiosity, critical thinking and active citizenship while supporting students' academic, spiritual and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality HASS programs aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that supports engagement and wellbeing
• Use evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners and assess learning against the SCSA Achievement Standards Model
• Promote the Catholic ethos, values and pastoral care principles of the College
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to cocurricular and whole-school activities
• Communicate professionally with students, families and colleagues, and uphold Child Safe School guidelines

Required profile

• Current TRBWA registration
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Secondary Education; HASS specialisation preferred
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education, or working towards it
• Current Working with Children Check
• Commitment to the CEWA Child Safe Framework
• Strong curriculum knowledge, responsive teaching approach, reflective practice and collaboration with colleagues
