Search & AI Discovery Specialist

About the role

ahm is hiring a Search & AI Discovery Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role sits within the Acquisition Squad and focuses on growing visibility across organic search and AI-powered discovery. You will develop and run a performance-led strategy covering SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI Optimisation (AIO), working with digital, marketing, content and platform teams so customers can find the business wherever they search.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a performance-focused Search & AI Discovery strategy.
• Lead SEO, GEO and AIO initiatives to improve visibility, engagement and conversion.
• Monitor performance across Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and emerging platforms.
• Partner with content teams to create authoritative, conversational and search-optimised content.
• Drive technical SEO improvements across indexation, metadata, structured data, schema and content architecture.
• Turn search insights and performance data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Promote SEO and AI discovery best practice internally and with agency partners.

Required profile

• At least two years' experience in a similar role, with tertiary qualifications and content-authoring experience.
• Experience developing and implementing SEO strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proactive, curious and collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Understanding of GEO, AIO and emerging AI search ecosystems.
• Experience with tools such as SEMrush, BrightEdge, Ahrefs or Google Search Console.
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, semantic search and content architecture.
• Strong analytical skills, able to turn performance data into actionable insights.
