About the role

The Queensland Revenue Office is hiring a permanent AO4 Revenue Officer to join its Duties & Grants division in Brisbane. The role supports the delivery of $5.4 billion in duty revenue by providing client‑focused services such as transfer duty assessments, grant administration and compliance support.

Key responsibilities

• Register and assess clients for transfer duty and related revenue matters.
• Assist the team leader in coaching and supporting team members to maintain a client‑centric approach.
• Analyse, interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy to make assessments and approve grants.
• Respond to technical enquiries and client phone calls, ensuring a positive experience.
• Exercise delegated authority and contribute to compliance activities that manage revenue risk.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering excellent client service.
• Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of digital and data technology systems.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to team outcomes.
• Capability to interpret and apply legislation or policy, or a proven ability to learn it rapidly.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., law, business or accounting) are highly regarded but not mandatory.
