About the role

As a Retail Department Leader at Officeworks Hobart, you will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will inspire, motivate and develop your crew while ensuring the store is well‑presented and stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert, solution‑focused customer service, listening to needs and offering complete solutions.
• Partner with store leadership to energise and motivate the team, linking daily actions to customer outcomes.
• Mentor, train and develop team members into high‑performing retail professionals.
• Maintain a sharp, well‑stocked store environment so customers can easily find the right products.
• Work flexible rotating roster with monthly rostered days off and standard leave entitlements.

Required profile

• Proven retail leadership experience with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build connections with both team members and customers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
• Willingness to get hands‑dirty to ensure smooth store operations.
