Restaurant Manager - Guzman y Gomez

About the role

A multi-site Guzman y Gomez franchise group is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead a high-performing, fast-paced, customer-focused restaurant. The manager takes full ownership of restaurant performance, from people and culture through to guest experience, operations and financial results, and leads a management team and a pipeline of future Shift Leaders and Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and manage a leadership and crew team
• Recruit staff and build a pipeline of future Shift Leaders and Managers
• Create an energetic, positive and accountable team culture
• Drive operational KPIs across service, quality, sales, labour and food costs
• Manage financial performance, including sales, labour, COGS, inventory and controllable expenses
• Maintain standards in food quality, food safety, people safety and presentation
• Lead busy service periods from the floor and set the standard for the team
• Identify ways to grow sales and improve profitability
• Ensure compliance with GYG systems, policies and operational standards

Required profile

• Strong management experience in a fast-paced hospitality, retail or customer-focused environment
• Experience leading, developing and motivating large teams and handling high-volume operations
• Track record of strong customer experiences and operational results
• Previous quick-service restaurant experience is valued

Required skills

• Commercial awareness and experience managing sales, labour and food cost KPIs
• Recruitment, coaching and performance management
• Hands-on leadership style, comfortable on the floor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
