About the role
ACCIONA Energía seeks a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to enhance the availability and efficiency of wind farms and other renewable assets. The role focuses on mechanical components such as drivetrains and structures, providing engineering expertise to support maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert mechanical engineering support for operational assets, including drivetrains and structures.
- Manage reliability engineering programs using condition‑based and optimized maintenance principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations on failed or faulting equipment.
- Analyze plant performance and maintenance data to identify issues and improve efficiency.
- Liaise with global engineering teams, equipment suppliers, and OEMs to resolve technical problems.
- Oversee retrofits, upgrades, and asset changes across all operational sites.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
- Relevant experience in reliability engineering, preferably in the renewable sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel for training and meetings, including international locations.
Required skills
- Experience with Maximo or similar maintenance management systems.
- Familiarity with AEMO operational requirements.
- Root cause analysis methodology.
