Team Lead – Pre Contracts Engineering

About the role

Lead the technical development, engineering evaluation, and pre‑contracts activities for Aggreko's IPP Solutions portfolio across Australia and the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the pre‑contracts engineering function, delivering technically robust and commercially competitive solutions for renewable energy, BESS, thermal generation, hybrid energy and grid‑connected projects.
• Manage opportunity assessment, bid support, technical due diligence, cost estimation, risk management and customer engagement.
• Act as technical lead throughout the pursuit phase, shaping solution strategies, leading engineering discussions and supporting negotiations to contract award.
• Lead development of microgrid and grid‑connection strategies, review network requirements and compliance obligations.
• Manage power system consultants, specialist studies and stakeholder engagement with regulators and network service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (CPEng or postgraduate qualification preferred).
• Approximately 10 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, utilities, transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex bid pursuits and extensive experience with renewable energy and BESS projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project finance drivers.
