Field Service Technician – Electrician

About the role

Air Liquide Australia is seeking a trade‑qualified Queensland Electrician to join its Customer Installations team in Mackay. You will work across Central Queensland, providing on‑site preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and technical repairs on gas reticulation and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on gas reticulation systems, control panels and customer installations.
• Respond to emergency service calls, diagnose electrical faults and perform high‑quality repairs.
• Maintain and preserve company assets, escalating complex technical issues to regional engineers.
• Participate in a fortnightly weekend on‑call roster while adhering to a zero‑compromise safety mindset.

Required profile

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence (trade‑qualified electrician).
• Valid state driver’s licence (MR class preferred) and full Australian working rights.
• Willingness to travel across Mackay and surrounding areas and join a 7‑day on‑call roster per month.
• Relevant high‑risk tickets (forklift, EWP, confined space, rigging) and mine site inductions are advantageous.

Required skills

• Electrical fault diagnosis and corrective action.
• Preventative maintenance of gas reticulation systems and control panels.
• Experience with rotating equipment, industrial air compressors, instrumentation and automated systems.
