Reliability Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

The Reliability Engineer – Mechanical will improve wind farm and renewable asset reliability by maximising plant availability and efficiency through optimised maintenance practices. The role provides mechanical engineering expertise to support maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering support for mechanical assets such as drivetrains and structures.
• Manage reliability engineering programmes across operational sites, applying condition‑based and optimised maintenance principles.
• Conduct root cause analysis investigations on failed or faulting equipment.
• Analyse plant performance and maintenance data to identify issues and maximise efficiency.
• Liaise with Global Engineering, equipment suppliers and OEMs to resolve engineering issues.
• Oversee retrofits, upgrades and asset changes at all operational sites.
• Maintain an engineering document library for knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical competence in mechanical engineering.
• Relevant experience in reliability engineering or a related role, preferably in the renewable sector.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel for training and meetings, including international locations.
