Registered Nurse – Retrieval (NETS)

About the role

The Registered Nurse – Retrieval provides high‑quality care to newborn, infant and paediatric patients and their families, supporting statewide, interstate and occasional international retrievals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the highest standard of clinical care to neonatal and paediatric patients.
• Participate in all modes of retrieval (ground, rotary‑wing, fixed‑wing) and complete required safety training.
• Coordinate clinical activities, complete mandatory training and undertake tertiary placements to develop advanced techniques.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent experience in neonatal or paediatric intensive care or a retrieval service.
• Extensive experience managing critically ill, ventilated neonatal or paediatric patients.
• Strong leadership, independent and team‑working abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Physical fitness to complete vehicle, rotary‑wing, fixed‑wing, emergency egress and sea‑survival training.
