Early Years Specialist

About the role

Join the Early Childhood Approach team in Bankstown to deliver the Early Supports Program for young children and families. This contract position runs until March 2027 and offers hybrid working conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver family‑centred supports using evidence‑informed best practice.
• Conduct assessments and observations to tailor interventions for each child.
• Coach families, caregivers and professionals in everyday environments.
• Connect families with community resources to promote inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records in the NDIA system and guide families through NDIS processes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
• Current AHPRA registration (OT) or Speech Pathology Australia membership.
• Expert knowledge of child development and experience supporting children with developmental delays.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and related best‑practice principles.

Required skills

• Use of developmental assessments and observation tools.
• Ability to design and implement individualized support plans.
• Proficiency in documenting within the NDIA business system.
