Registered Nurse - Occupational Health, Sydney CBD

About the role

Sonic HealthPlus, part of the Sonic Healthcare network, provides onsite and in-clinic occupational and corporate healthcare services. It is seeking a motivated, compassionate Registered Nurse for its Sydney CBD Clinic on a full-time basis (38 hours per week). Reporting to the Practice Manager, the nurse delivers occupational health services while supporting workplace health, safety and wellbeing. Previous occupational health experience is highly regarded but not essential, as training and support are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver occupational health and nursing services with a high level of clinical autonomy
• Conduct assessments and triage
• Administer vaccinations, including workplace immunisation programs, and provide travel health consultations
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Assist with health assessments, medicals and occupational health screening
• Maintain clinical stock and supplies, clean clinical equipment and ensure compliance with Department of Health and Human Services protocols
• Maintain accurate and confidential records and support workplace health promotion
• Carry out general administrative duties as required

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Ability to work autonomously with a high level of clinical competence
• CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to person-centred care, confidentiality and quality improvement
• Desirable: certificate or experience in phlebotomy and/or immunisation; occupational health, general practice or workplace health experience; knowledge of workplace health and safety principles
