Registered Nurse Level 1 – Central Outpatients

About the role

The Central Outpatient unit at Canberra Hospital provides clinic‑based care across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. As a Level 1 Registered Nurse you will rotate through the Central Outpatient clinic, Registrar Review clinic, Fracture clinic and ENT & Oral Maxillofacial clinics, supporting fast‑paced patient flow.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in multiple outpatient clinics, including neurology, orthopaedics, dermatology and more.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient journeys.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and post‑procedure care.
• Support clinic operations during standard hours (Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑18:00).

Required profile

• Registered Nurse Level 1 qualification (P49207) with current registration.
• Eligibility to undergo a National Police Check and meet occupational health screening requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high‑turnover environment.
