National Immunisation Manager

About the role

The National Immunisation Manager will lead the delivery of Australia’s National Immunisation Program for MSD. Reporting to the Vaccines Business Unit Director, the role works across commercial, policy, medical and supply functions to ensure vaccines are implemented effectively. The position is based in Macquarie Park, Sydney and offers a permanent full‑time hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report monthly stock movements and ensure NIP vaccine agreement terms are met.
• Collaborate with Federal, State and Territory jurisdictions to manage vaccine availability through tenders and contracts.
• Lead tender submissions for publicly funded vaccine programs, aligning with population health policies.
• Assess policy and regulatory impacts on the vaccine environment and advise internal teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, including program managers and technical experts.
• Manage demand forecasting and supply for all NIP vaccines, communicating commitments to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in science, health, pharmacy, public health or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, preferably with vaccines, public health, tendering or government engagement.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, especially with government stakeholders.
• Demonstrated strategic agility, commercial acumen and ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
