Registered Nurse

About the role

Doctors and Co. is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join its Townsville practice. You will work closely with physicians and the clinical team to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care in a busy general practice environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take vital signs, record health histories, and discuss symptoms with patients.
• Administer medications, immunisations, injections and perform ECGs.
• Provide triage, wound management, chronic disease management and telehealth support.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Manage treatment‑room logistics, including stock control, sterilisation and equipment maintenance.
• Support reception and practice‑management duties while adhering to infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and Working with Children clearance.
• Experience in an accredited General Practice setting.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, compassionate approach.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems quickly and manage time effectively.
• Valid police check, First Aid/CPR certification and driving licence or photo ID.

Required skills

• ECG operation and interpretation.
• Proficiency with Best Practice practice‑management software.
