About the role
As a Registered Nurse you will deliver high‑quality clinical care to Defence Force personnel and their families at the ACT Health Centre. You will create and maintain patient care plans, work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate both outpatient and inpatient treatments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a 24‑bed low‑dependency ward.
- Develop, review and update individual patient care plans.
- Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated patient management.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
- Coordinate outpatient and inpatient treatment pathways, including referrals and follow‑up.
Required profile
- Unconditional, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Minimum 12 months post‑graduate experience in acute care, primary health care or a military setting within the last five years.
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification (HLTAID009).
- High personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
