Registered Nurse – Home Care

About the role

Join Calvary Home Care as an experienced Registered Nurse providing high‑acuity care to short‑term and long‑term clients in the community. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Administer IV, IM, SC and PO medications, including IV cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care.
• Perform simple and complex wound care, compression therapy and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
• Provide catheter care (male, female, supra‑pubic) and client/family education.
• Complete initial assessments, develop and update care plans, and document accurately.
• Recognise clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and minimum 1 year acute nursing experience.
• NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and recent police clearance.
• Own reliable, insured vehicle with driver’s licence (km allowance provided).
• CPR and manual handling competency.

Required skills

• IV medication administration.
• IV cannulation, PICC line care.
• Complex wound care, NPWT.
• Catheter insertion and management.
• CPR and manual handling techniques.
