Registered Nurse Grade 2 - Night Shifts, Corowa Court

About the role

A not-for-profit aged care provider is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Grade 2 to join its team at Corowa Court in Mornington on a permanent part-time Night Duty roster. This is a 72-hour-per-fortnight position with a fixed roster: Week 1 and Week 2 both cover Tuesday to Friday, 9:45 pm to 7:15 am. Nurses provide specialised, high-quality care to older Victorians living in residential homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialised nursing care for conditions such as diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
• Maintain documentation, complete resident assessments, incident investigations and related care documents
• Oversee day-to-day clinical care, monitor residents and escalate changes as required
• Spend time with residents, connecting with them and showing empathy
• Provide guidance and support to the care team, including Personal Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses

Required profile

• Registered Nurse experience and respiration with AHPRA as a Division 1
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID, or the ability to obtain one
• Good judgement and quick decision-making
• Empathy, dignity and respect for residents, and a collaborative approach with staff, colleagues and stakeholders
• Understanding of the aged care legislative framework, including safe medication administration
• Accountability for own work and a friendly, client-focused attitude
