Full-Time Practice Nurse - General Practice

About the role

The Doctors Bushland Beach, a medical clinic co-located with a pharmacy and a dentist in the Bushland Beach Plaza shopping centre, is seeking a full-time Practice Nurse for its general practice. The clinic offers general consultations and specialised medical care, and values teamwork and a supportive workplace. Working hours are flexible between Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Patient triage and management, including Medicare, DVA and Work Cover claims.
• Administer immunisations and other injections.
• Perform ECGs, spirometry and ear syringing.
• Conduct wound management procedures and assist GPs during minor surgeries.
• Develop care plans, conduct health assessments and support patients with chronic illnesses.
• Sterilise equipment.
• Conduct pre-employment assessments, audiometry and spirometry.
• Support reception staff as needed.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Previous experience in general practice.
• Knowledge of childhood and adult immunisations and experience in chronic disease management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current CPR certificate.

Required skills

• Multi-tasking and managing workflow in a treatment room.
• Computer skills; experience with Best Practice is highly desirable but not essential.

Pay is $37-$50 per hour. Applications close on 15 December 2026.
