Pharmacist in Charge - Full Time

About the role

United Chemists West Mackay, a community pharmacy offering services such as complex compounding, is looking for a full-time Pharmacist in Charge. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, maintain professional standards and support your team in delivering excellent customer care. Training is provided from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacist Manager and team in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Ensure medications are dispensed accurately and safely
• Give professional healthcare advice and counsel patients on the quality use of medicines
• Deliver pharmacy services, including vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable
• Manage dispensary workflow so operations are efficient and compliant
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy legislation, professional standards and company policies
• Build relationships with customers and local healthcare providers

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
• Current general registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA
• Available to work weekends on a rotating roster
• Willingness to work as a pharmacist in charge at times, with training provided
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
