About the role

Join Healthcare Australia as a Registered Nurse on a casual basis, providing clinical and mental health support to people in immigration detention. The role offers flexible hours to suit study, family or other commitments.

Key responsibilities

Deliver clinical and mental health care, including risk assessment, medication management and discharge planning for detainees.
Complete mental health assessments, formulate treatment plans, document progress in the electronic medical record and produce discharge summaries.

Required profile

Current AHPRA registration with at least five years of hospital and community nursing experience.
Experience or strong interest in mental health, trauma‑informed care and person‑centred approaches.

Required skills

Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop recovery plans.
