Registered Nurse (AOD / Mental Health) - Ashfield

About the role

A Community Registered Nurse is sought to support clients with physical and psychosocial health needs in Ashfield, NSW. The nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team including GPs, social workers, AOD specialists and allied health staff. Part-time or full-time hours are available depending on lifestyle.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (List A).
• Minimum 3 years' clinical experience, ideally in community health or GP practice.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and harm minimisation frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse clients.
• Unrestricted driver's licence, essential for outreach work.
• BLS certificate and up-to-date CPD and immunisation requirements.
• Experience with people experiencing mental health, AOD, homelessness or refugee-related challenges is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Experience using clinical systems such as HELIX, Best Practice or similar.
• Compassionate, adaptable approach to improving healthcare access.
