Registered Nurse - Aged Care at Home

About the role

Ozcare is offering a casual opportunity for a Registered Nurse to support its clients in Rockhampton and the surrounding suburbs. The nurse provides high-quality, evidence-based care across all age groups, covering complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client needs initially and implement ongoing care, including coordination, case management and care planning
• Deliver holistic, client-centred care in consultation with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor, evaluate and document client progress in line with professional and legal standards
• Administer and review medications, treatments and clinical interventions
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and make referrals as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Required profile

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Current Queensland driver's licence and current CPR certificate
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to vaccinate, against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella and pertussis
• Current National Police Check (valid within the past 3 years)
• Availability to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday (7:30am - 4:00pm) is highly regarded
• Good computer and mobile device skills
