Registered Nurse – Aged Care (Part-Time)

About the role

The Greek Community Home for the Aged, a not-for-profit residential aged care home in Earlwood, NSW, run by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, is looking for experienced, compassionate Registered Nurses to join its clinical team. The position is part-time on a rotating roster, and the nurse provides person-centred care to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, person-centred clinical care and carry out clinical assessments in line with professional standards, legislation and organisational policy.
• Administer medications and treatments according to medical and allied health directives.
• Monitor, evaluate and document resident care and clinical outcomes.
• Develop and review care plans with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Respond to changes in health condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Supervise and support care staff and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, accreditation and aged care quality standards, and communicate with residents, families, doctors and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care.
• Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and evidence of relevant vaccinations.
• Commitment to quality aged care and teamwork; Greek language skills or experience in culturally specific aged care are highly regarded.
