Registered Nurse (Aged Care) - Heathcote

About the role

A casual Registered Nurse position in an aged care facility in Heathcote, covering Southern Sydney and the Sutherland Shire. The employer values its team, offers a supportive environment and wants to develop its staff; new graduates are encouraged to apply and immediate start is available.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise a team of Personal Carers to deliver high-quality care for residents.
• Liaise with the Clinical Manager, doctors, allied health and visiting specialists on care plans, and evaluate residents' care needs.
• Keep accurate records of care delivery and ensure safe medication administration, best-practice wound care and clinical support.
• Work within the Aged Care legislation and quality standards, and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for residents and staff.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Complete COVID-19 vaccination with booster, flu vaccination, CPR certification, current police check and NDIS worker screening check.
• First aid certificate and full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to work a variety of shift times, with a minimum of 3 days available, and reliability and willingness to travel.
• Good communication and customer service skills, sound nursing judgement and commitment to ongoing professional development.
