Quality System Specialist

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Quality System Specialist to join the iconic E‑7 Wedgetail program. Based at RAAF Base Amberley (or Williamtown), you will act as the subject‑matter expert for the Quality Management System, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliant program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day advice on QMS matters to program teams, business leaders and employees.
• Support implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the unit’s QMS.
• Integrate QMS requirements into planning, execution and performance activities.
• Lead assurance activities such as internal audits, reviews and health checks.
• Monitor and report quality performance data, including non‑conformances, audit findings and corrective actions.
• Assist with investigations, root‑cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and embed lessons learned.
• Promote a proactive quality culture through stakeholder engagement and coaching.

Required profile

• Experience in quality systems within aerospace or defence environments.
• Strong understanding of QMS standards, governance and compliance obligations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leaders.
