QC Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Laboratory

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a QC Supervisor to lead laboratory operations supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role ensures compliance with cGMP standards and drives continuous improvement across the quality control function.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for QC laboratory activities from raw material testing to finished product release.
• Mentor and develop staff, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage laboratory scheduling, resource planning, and process improvements to support manufacturing operations.
• Support regulatory audits and inspections, leading investigations and ensuring data integrity.

Required profile

• Advanced degree with 3+ years experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech QC.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, ICH guidelines and quality systems.
• Proven ability to write SOPs, investigation reports, and regulatory documentation.

Required skills

• Analytical testing methods and instrumentation (HPLC, GC, dissolution testing).
• Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and quality management software.
• Microsoft Office applications.
