About the role

The Proprietary Lending Area Manager leads a specialist home‑lending team in Sydney, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, capability building and sales performance. The role ensures excellent customer experience, risk management and governance across both branch and remote channels.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, attract and onboard new home lenders.
• Provide consistent, high‑quality sales leadership for a specialised lending team.
• Build capability and foster a culture of continuous development.
• Manage team performance, customer experience and governance.
• Establish succession planning and career pathways for lenders.
• Ensure full compliance with ANZ policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong networking, relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Proven regional leadership and home‑lending sales track record.
• Deep understanding of end‑to‑end home loan processes, products and credit skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and uplift lender performance.
• Growth mindset with a focus on incremental results.
