Property Development Manager

About the role

Reece is looking for an experienced Property Development Manager to identify and deliver new property opportunities across Australia and New Zealand, from the first site conversation through to development approval and construction handover. Reporting to the Design and Development Lead, you will manage the development process from site identification to approval, working with internal teams and external partners to assess opportunities, navigate planning requirements, negotiate commercial agreements and ensure each site is fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and recommend development opportunities aligned with Reece's growth plans.
• Lead due diligence, financial analysis and risk assessment for prospective properties.
• Manage lease and purchase negotiations and coordinate external consultants.
• Navigate planning schemes, zoning, development approvals, permits and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Store Design and Construction to deliver practical, operationally sound outcomes.
• Prepare recommendations, presentations and handover information for stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships and contribute to strategic projects and improvements across the Property team.

Required profile

• At least 10 years' experience in property development, leasing, acquisitions or a related field.
• Degree in real estate, property or a related discipline.
• Confident commercial negotiator with strong financial and project management capability.
• Understands property planning and approval pathways and can balance commercial outcomes with risk.
• Clear communicator who builds productive relationships and influences senior stakeholders.
• Organised, practical and motivated by turning opportunities into results.
