Project Quality Engineer – Utilities

About the role

UGL is seeking a motivated Project Quality Engineer to join a Utilities project based in Three Springs, operating on a 2:1 DIDO roster out of Perth. You will establish, manage, and maintain the project’s quality systems, ensuring compliance across construction, subcontractor, and procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), including reporting, investigation, and close‑out.
• Conduct training and inductions on quality systems for project teams.
• Lead internal audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Review subcontractor documentation for compliance with quality requirements.
• Participate in site inspections and testing activities in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Contribute to monthly quality reporting and management reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• At least 5 years’ experience on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Minimum 2 years in a site‑based quality role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering systems.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills.
