Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

About the role

Pensar delivers end‑to‑end water and wastewater infrastructure solutions across Tasmania. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex water infrastructure projects.
• Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and margin improvement.
• Manage contracts, variations, extensions of time and associated commercial risk.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong collaborative relationships.
• Lead and develop project teams through performance reviews, coaching and career development.
• Oversee design management to ensure practical, compliant and cost‑effective solutions.
• Ensure environmental, quality and compliance requirements are met and embedded across project delivery.
• Provide strong safety leadership, approve WHS Management Plans and promote a positive safety culture.

Required profile

• 8+ years’ experience delivering civil or water infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in live operational environments.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and quality systems.
• Proven financial management, forecasting and margin optimisation skills.
• Design management and constructability expertise in water infrastructure projects.
