About the role
We are expanding our Ports & Maritime capability across Australia and are looking for experienced Design and Project Managers to lead complex maritime infrastructure projects. The role offers the chance to work on high‑impact ports, coastal and waterfront developments while enjoying Australia’s lifestyle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design management and delivery of ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure and waterfront projects.
- Own and manage packages of work, accountable for scope, programme, technical delivery and client outcomes.
- Coordinate with AECOM teams nationally and globally to integrate multidisciplinary designs.
- Act as primary client interface, building trusted relationships with port authorities, government agencies and private sector clients.
- Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including design, commercial management, programme coordination and technical integration.
- Mentor engineers and support growth of AECOM’s Ports & Maritime capability worldwide.
Required profile
- Significant experience as a Design Manager, Technical Lead or Project Manager on ports, coastal or maritime infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams on complex maritime projects.
- Strong client engagement and stakeholder management experience with port authorities and government agencies.
- Experience delivering design and planning for ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure or waterfront developments.
- Demonstrated track record of owning and delivering work packages within major infrastructure programmes.
- Passion for infrastructure that supports coastal communities, trade and long‑term economic growth.
