Project Manager – Retail Store Development (SA & NT)

About the role

Reporting to the State Construction Manager for WA, SA & NT, you will lead the delivery of renewal and new store projects across South Australia and the Northern Territory. You will manage the full project lifecycle—from planning and governance to procurement, cost control, on‑site delivery and safety—while gaining extensive exposure to the SA market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate diverse teams to deliver projects safely in a live trading environment.
• Communicate and influence stakeholders to balance individual requirements with project outcomes.
• Monitor progress against the critical path to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks effectively.
• Balance time and resource commitments across multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee cost plans, design documentation and tendering processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives across cost, design and procurement disciplines.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Self‑regulated, autonomous work style with strong time‑management.
• Degree qualified in construction project management.
• Proven experience on medium to large‑scale retail or commercial projects.
• Background in on‑site, retailer or project‑management environments.
• Extensive experience managing contractors, consultants, site supervisors and suppliers.
• Strong financial acumen and cost‑management capability.
• Working knowledge of local regulations and Australian Standards.
• Experience negotiating and executing contracts.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
