Project Manager

About the role

Duratec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex construction, remediation and infrastructure projects across Central Queensland. Based in our Gladstone office, you will help build a high‑performing local team and shape the regional culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe delivery of projects from planning through to completion, managing budgets, forecasting and cost control.
• Administer client contracts, progress claims and variations while maintaining strong commercial positions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to secure future opportunities.
• Mentor and coordinate project teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
• Drive safety, quality and operational excellence in line with HSEQ standards and legislative requirements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant trade.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, cost control and contract administration experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build lasting client and supplier relationships.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement with strong communication and leadership skills.
