Project Manager

About the role

Barpa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial construction projects across Australia. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle from design through to defects liability, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of commercial construction projects from design to completion and defects liability period.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, variations and overall commercial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Ensure outstanding safety, quality and environmental outcomes on site.
• Oversee procurement strategies, subcontractor engagement and programme delivery.
• Champion Indigenous engagement, employment and procurement opportunities throughout the project.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
