Project Manager - Defence & Security

About the role

CAE is hiring a Project Manager for its Defence & Security team in the Homebush area. You will plan, execute and deliver projects supporting Australian customers, leading collaboration with multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes such as acquisition and engineering change proposals across a technology stack in the air and maritime domains. The position is temporary (fixed term).

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage the execution of one or more projects from start to finish.
• Manage the financial and operational resources needed to meet contractual obligations and ensure profitability.
• Develop and execute the project management plan.
• Collaborate day to day with matrix team members.
• Participate in proposal writing for project management aspects where applicable.

Required profile

• PMP certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance; must be an Australian citizen.
• Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days flexible) from the Homebush or Brisbane office.
• Preferred: background in the defence industry.

• Expertise in analysing information and designing new approaches, methodologies and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven learning capability.
• Preferred: Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project.
