Project Manager – Construction & Mechanical Services

About the role

Benmax is looking for a Project Manager to join its Queanbeyan office and work closely with the General Manager. The role oversees commercial construction, mechanical and HVAC projects from planning through hand‑over, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to completion, managing scope, schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on project financials and resource allocation.
• Administer contracts, monitor compliance from award to close‑out, and ensure adherence to WHSEQ systems.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to keep all parties aligned.
• Track progress against milestones, identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Support division and business planning activities.
• Develop strong client relationships to generate repeat business.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management or a related field (essential).
• Proven experience delivering construction, mechanical or HVAC projects.
• Current, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent Work Health & Safety qualification.
• Good understanding of construction contracts for NSW.
