Project Manager – Construction & Fit‑out

About the role

Concept Eight is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction and fit‑out projects across its multi‑brand restaurant portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will manage new openings, refurbishments and equipment rollouts while ensuring stakeholder alignment and budget integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery for restaurant refurbishments, new builds, equipment rollouts and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate handover processes, manage contractors, sub‑contractors, suppliers and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure documentation complies with building codes, WH&S, planning approvals and internal policies.
• Drive budgeting, cost control, tendering and procurement activities, reporting on financial performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, franchisees and corporate teams on design, layout and service utilities.
• Travel to sites across Australia to oversee on‑ground project execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing retail, QSR or hospitality fit‑out projects.
• Degree in architecture, construction management, engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal teams, franchise partners and external authorities.
• Willingness to travel nationally and adapt to changing project demands.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using Asana for project management.
• Familiarity with Claude.ai for collaboration and reporting.
