Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Sydney Tools is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead construction projects from early planning through to completion. The role blends office‑based coordination with regular on‑site involvement, working closely with architects, consultants, contractors and trades.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects end‑to‑end, covering planning, design coordination, procurement, construction and handover.
• Coordinate early‑stage planning with architects and consultants on preliminary designs, development application (DA) plans and approvals.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, identifying gaps or issues before they affect site work.
• Schedule and sequence contractors, subcontractors, trades and suppliers.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets and procurement, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and changes.
• Attend sites regularly to oversee progress, quality, safety and resolve practical issues.
• Handle RFIs, variations, defects and handovers with clear documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management or a closely related role.
• Hands‑on experience with DA plans, preliminary designs and architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, trades and day‑to‑day site operations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport.
