Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure

About the role

HEH Civil is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major civil infrastructure projects across Queensland. This site‑based role is based in Cairns and involves direct responsibility for project delivery, commercial outcomes and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage one major project or multiple smaller projects, overseeing planning, programming, procurement, resourcing and construction delivery.
• Control budgets, forecasts, costs, progress claims, variations and final accounts while protecting the company’s commercial position.
• Administer contracts, ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental and reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Maintain accurate project records, reporting and documentation, and build strong relationships with clients, superintendents, authorities and stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager on civil construction projects in Australia.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven delivery of water infrastructure and Transport & Main Roads projects, with airport or major civil infrastructure experience preferred.
• Current Transport and Main Roads personnel schedule approval.
• Strong contract administration, programming and cost‑control capability.
