Project Coordinator – Fit‑Out & Joinery Specialist

About the role

Kapitol is seeking a Project Coordinator specialised in fit‑out and joinery to join its Central Coordination team. The role influences delivery of fit‑out, finishes and joinery packages across multiple commercial projects, working closely with project and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical delivery of fit‑out, finishes and joinery packages across a portfolio of projects.
• Review designs, specifications and shop drawings to improve buildability, sequencing and efficiency.
• Manage design changes, technical queries and stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants and trade partners.
• Lead coordination of finishes packages, ensuring programme milestones, procurement and delivery requirements are met.
• Support overseas procurement and letting of joinery and finishes packages where required.
• Drive collaboration across project teams and external stakeholders to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of fit‑out delivery practices and standardisation.

Required profile

• Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractor delivering commercial fit‑out, finishes and joinery packages.
• Strong understanding of fit‑out detailing, shop‑drawing workflows, specification reviews and design coordination.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing, buildability and programme management.
• Experience managing design changes and coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, including overseas procurement of joinery and finishes.
