Program Manager - Health Division

About the role

Civica makes software used by public bodies worldwide to deliver critical services for citizens. As a Program Manager in its Health division, you will own a portfolio of Private Health Insurance (PHI) customers and act as their trusted senior point of contact. The role combines customer relationship management, commercial accountability, delivery oversight and cross-functional leadership, and can be based anywhere in Australia with full work rights; some travel is required depending on the program.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage relationships for a portfolio of PHI customers, acting as their trusted senior point of contact
• Understand customer business objectives and identify opportunities for value-adding change and improvement
• Own and deliver a defined section of the Services revenue budget
• Build and maintain a pipeline of funded customer initiatives and bespoke development opportunities
• Forecast revenue, manage risks and ensure customer commitments are delivered
• Work with Project Managers to oversee delivery, timelines, scope and quality
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define, scope and deliver customer solutions
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to manage dependencies and reduce delivery risk
• Support customer retention and long-term strategic partnerships

Required profile

• Strong Program Management, Portfolio Management or Senior Project Management experience in a technology, software, SaaS or services environment
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs and customer portfolios
• Commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting and customer investment discussions
• Stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior customer contacts and executives
• Experience across Product, Engineering, Delivery and customer-facing teams
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management
• Ability to handle ambiguity and drive outcomes in a complex environment
• Health, insurance or other regulated industry experience highly regarded

Required skills

• Advantageous: exposure to CRM platforms, software delivery, bespoke development models, Agile or similar frameworks
