Cyber Security Project Manager

About the role

A leading manufacturing and defence organisation in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to lead a range of critical cyber security initiatives within a major enterprise-wide transformation program. The role suits a senior project professional who has delivered complex cyber security projects in large, highly regulated organisations, working closely with business, technology and security stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cyber security projects and workstreams
• Drive collaboration across business, technology, security and vendor stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with government and industry cyber security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Translate technical cyber security concepts into clear business outcomes and recommendations
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks and governance activities
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors
• Prepare executive reporting and submissions for governance forums
• Support testing, deployment and transition with minimal business disruption

Required profile

• 10+ years' experience delivering complex cyber security projects in large organisations
• Active baseline security clearance (mandatory)
• Strong stakeholder management, including executive engagement

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight and SOCI frameworks
• Agile and Waterfall project delivery experience
• Microsoft Project, Jira and/or Azure DevOps
• PMP, SAFe Agile and ITIL certifications highly regarded
