Production Team Leader (Night Shift)

About the role

Opella is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee night‑shift operations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance while delivering production plans. You will foster a positive, engaged team environment and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production teams to meet daily and weekly output targets while upholding safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one coaching sessions, providing feedback and development support.
• Investigate operational issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor, analyse and report performance data to enhance productivity and quality.
• Build team capability through training, development planning and compliance with training requirements.
• Promote open communication across shifts, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and resolve issues impacting performance, safety or quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in manufacturing, production or operations environments.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with a track record of investigating issues and delivering practical solutions.
• Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends and apply insights for improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and support team development.
• Commitment to high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, operations, engineering or related fields are beneficial but not essential.
