Production Operator – Gyprock Factory (Rotating Shifts)

About the role

CSR is hiring a full-time Production Operator for its Gyprock factory in Yarraville, Victoria. The role reports to the Supervisor and covers the operation of the Gyprock workstations and the efficient production of Gyprock plasterboard, keeping quality, cost and safety standards high. It is a 24/7 rotating shift position (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am) with training provided for all candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Gyprock workstations and produce plasterboard efficiently while maintaining quality, low cost and safe work practices
• Promote a safety-first, zero-harm culture and report equipment and product faults
• Unload and stage products
• Take part in risk and hazard identification and quality improvement initiatives
• Carry out housekeeping and other duties as required

Required profile

• Forklift licence is essential; a 3T or above licence is required, and a licence is preferred or willingness to obtain one
• Proven success in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume, multi-stage continuous manufacturing or factory environment (desirable)
• Willingness to work a rotating roster
• Strong safety awareness and high attention to detail
