HV Testing Technician

About the role
You will be hands‑on delivering high‑voltage (HV) testing services and providing trusted technical advice to AusNet and external customers. Based at the Yarraville depot, the role involves regular travel across Victoria and occasional interstate work.
Key responsibilities
- Plan daily workload of the testing team to maximise equipment utilisation and service throughput.
- Assist engineers in HV testing of power transformers, cables, generators, motors, instrument transformers and switchgear.
- Develop, maintain and improve testing processes, procedures and methodologies to meet accreditation requirements.
- Maintain HSEQ compliance, identify risks and support contingency planning.
Required profile
- Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience in HV testing and diagnostic testing of primary electrical plant.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across a broad geography.
- Safety leadership aligned with Mission Zero & HSEQ plan.
