Product Manager – Merchants & Online Payments

About the role

Join AP+ as a Product Manager for Merchants and Online products, driving the evolution of retail payment solutions across Australia’s domestic payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage products through the full lifecycle from discovery and design to launch and optimisation.
• Assess opportunities with feasibility analysis, business cases, and risk considerations.
• Develop outcome‑based roadmaps for eftpos merchant and online propositions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise performance and meet business targets.
• Gather and communicate market, customer and product insights to shape priorities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product management experience focused on card payments and e‑commerce.
• Proven ability to use market research, user feedback and performance data to define product roadmaps.
• Experience developing and managing eCommerce payment products or merchant propositions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across the value chain.
• Ability to build business cases and guide continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of payments products, technology and the financial industry.
• Understanding of online payments value chain involving acquirers, PSPs and merchants.
